Born in London in 1958. Studied at Goldsmiths College of Art, 1979-82. In the same year as his graduation, his works were exhibited in a group show at the venerable Lisson Gallery in the U.K., along with those of Anish Kapoor, Keith Haring, and other major artists, attracting much attention from the time of his debut.
